IKYnesis: Biomechanics and Conscious Movement

IKYnesis practice within the IKY System

IKYnesis is a biomechanics methodology developed by C. R. Kan for musculoskeletal rehabilitation and strengthening, as well as personal empowerment and growth. It stimulates and trains the nervous system through sequences drawn from the Feldenkrais Method® of Awareness Through Movement, combined with the visualization techniques and mental patterns cultivated within the IKY System.

IKYnesis prompts changes in the central and peripheral neural networks, exponentially improving physical performance as well as the management of mind and emotions.

Its practice helps overcome musculoskeletal issues such as pain, injuries, inflammation and stiffness, while also improving mobility, physical agility and strength development. It further supports physical and mental health and well-being, for the sake of efficiency, self-control, balance of mind and emotional process, and — most importantly — it fosters self-determination, self-mastery, inner authority, self-image and personal empowerment.
